Traffic lights from Dickens Road to London don't detect cyclists

Cyclists have to wait for a car to trigger the lights for them in either direction (e.g. when a car is parked the car coming from London Road goes over the other side of the road thus tripping the detectors.)

At this location there is a cycle lane, and a dropped kerb on the opposite side of the road for cyclists to get on to the shared pavement to access the cycle path which is signed to go to the station via the park.
